A one-day workshop – “Aarambh” was organized for entrepreneurship development in sheep-goat and rabbit farming in the country on Monday, October 16, 2023 at the Central Sheep and Wool Research Institute, Avikanagar, Malpura (Rajasthan), an institute of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research. Choudhary and as special guests, Dr. Bhavan Singh Rathod, Director of Animal Husbandry Department, Government of Rajasthan, Dr. Brijmohan Goyal, Deputy Director Animal Husbandry Department, Government of Rajasthan, Dr. Vikram Singh Senior Scientist, Indian Council of Agricultural Research Headquarters, New Delhi, Shri Mukesh Suthar Kaid Foundation, Udaipur, Representatives of banks and other progressive entrepreneurs participated.

The program was presided over by the Institute Director, Dr. Arun Kumar Tomar. The Institute Director, Dr. Arun Kumar Tomar took all the guests present at the workshop and toured the institute’s Dumba sheep sector, rabbit rearing unit, Sirohi goat rearing, Avishan sheep sector. Gave information about the technologies developed with advanced breed animals. At the beginning of the workshop, the mobile van for artificial insemination for sheep was inaugurated by the guests attending the program. At the beginning of the workshop, the institute director welcomed the guests attending the program with Rajasthani tradition. The chief guest of the program, Dr. OP Choudhary, while giving a detailed address to all the delegates present at the program, promised to solve all the problems being faced by the National Livestock Mission through his department. Dr. OP Choudhary addressed the problems of all the people present at the program. Listened to them in detail and while answering all their problems along with the concerned department, assured the delegates that my department is working fully on their problems in future. On the occasion of the workshop, various departments of the institute organized sheep for the information of the farmers. Goat and rabbit farming books and folders were also released. On the occasion of the workshop, some progressive startups and delegates were also rewarded by the guests present on the stage. Workshop organizer secretary Dr. Vinod Kadam, senior scientist, Avikanagar and Mr. Mukesh Suthar, director of KED Foundation, Udaipur. Said that more than 400 participants from 17 states of the country are participating in this workshop.

Avikanagar Institute Director Dr. Arun Kumar Tomar, while addressing all the delegates and guests present at the workshop, talked about the distribution of sheep, goats and rabbit woolen animals of advanced breed by the institute to the farmers of the country, the advanced technology of the institute, accommodation arrangements, facilities of the institute. Explaining the important role of Dumba and Avishan sheep in sheep meat production in the country, he addressed the activities of the institute in detail.

On the occasion of the workshop, Dr. Vinod Kadam spoke about the advanced technologies of the Institute through the Agri Business Incubator Center of the Institute, Dr. Shankarlal Khichad about the objectives, applications and problems of the National Livestock Mission, Dr. Brajmohan Goyal introduced the National Livestock Mission. On behalf of the Rajasthan Government, Dr. Vikram Singh addressed the delegates on various technologies in the field of agriculture and animal husbandry of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research. Giving information about all the technologies of the Council for the farmers of this region, Dr. Will work on entrepreneurship development in animal husbandry.
